Start a multilingual group
- Tap the pen icon on the home screen and create a group — or join one from Discover.
- Share the invite link with anyone, anywhere — no shared language needed.
- Everyone writes in their own language and reads everyone else in it. That's the whole trick.
Watch any video with subtitles
- Paste a YouTube link into any chat — Espero transcribes the video and translates it.
- Or share a clip from TikTok, Instagram or your gallery: phone's Share menu → Espero.
- Press play — the subtitles follow along in your own language.
Talk face to face
- Tap the ⇄ icon on the home screen.
- Put the phone between you — each person taps their mic and just speaks.
- The other side reads it — and hears it spoken — in their language, live.
A space just for you
- Open “Saved Messages” from the new-chat menu.
- Send yourself links, notes, photos and videos.
- Videos get subtitles in your language — watch anything alone, understood.
Learn as you chat
- Tap “Hear it” under a message to hear it spoken aloud.
- Tap “Pronounce” to see other scripts in readable letters (pinyin, romaji…).
- Real phrases from real conversations — the nicest way to pick up a language.
Cover your whole household
- Go Espero+ — then open Settings → Family plan.
- Share your family link with up to 5 people.
- They get unlimited translation too, at no extra cost.
